With the incredible growth and development in technology, super-high-speed internet, digital cable, digital phone, VOIP, and more, the Netcom Committee believes even more so in its philosophy that TRAINING is a necessity for all of our members to grow and prosper in this dynamic industry.

Recently, we've designed a questionnaire for getting feedback from members on their training and self-development needs so that we can help everyone grow within the ever-changing cable industry.

We have also created a very handy yearly work record book that we have sent to all members to assist them in recording their past work history and future work achievements for development into a fully training installer or TFR.

In 2006 and 2007, the Committee obtained its own training facility and equipment for training courses. The training facility is located at and is a part of the E.I.T.I. at the BC Hydro yard in Surrey.

Courses have been conducted in construction 1, pole ladder, and digital phone. The courses have been well attended with approximately 200+ going through. The Netcom Committee is currently striving to provide courses that fit even more of the training needs of our members.

Coming this year, 2008 will include DCT courses, DPT courses 1 and 2, additional pole ladder training, bucket truck training, A+ certification, and Service.

We would like to encourage all of our members to take full advantage of the future courses being offered as we continue to grow.
